Dear Visitor:
Rotary International is a leadership organization made up of local and civic leaders we meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and get things done in our community.
Lake Chelan Rotary is an action oriented group of men and women focused on local and global efforts to improve the quality of life for all people. We have been servicing the communities of the Lake Chelan Valley since 1926. Some of the beneficiaries of the clubs efforts locally have included the Chelan and Manson High School Scholarships, Chelan Valley Hope, and many high school club activities. We support scholarships for deserving college bound Chelan and Manson High School seniors and students having a vocational interest following high school. We also provide scholarships for exceptional second year students.
Lake Chelan Rotary supports and advises the Chelan High School Interact Club that was sponsored in 2011 and the soon to be chartered Lake Chelan Rotaract Club.
Internationally, we are part of Rotary International’s Polio Plus program, a very successful 30 year effort to eliminate Polio worldwide. In the Rotary Year 2018-2019, 91% of our members contributed to the Rotary International Foundation and continued our long tradition or Every Rotarian Every Year. We continue to support our Brighter Futures Project in Kenya at both the Nkoilale and Kisiriri Primary Schools. We are now involved in executing a Rotary Foundation Global Grant to provide improved water and sanitation for the Kisiriri Primary School.
Lake Chelan Rotary has its own 501(c)3, known as the Lake Chelan Rotary Community & International Fund (“The Fund”). You can make tax deducable donations to “The Fund” online by following the link to The Fund.
Each and every week we publish the LakeViews newsletter. LakeViews has won the District 5060 award for being the best club newsletter for each of the last five years. You can see the most recent copy of LakeViews by going to “News” or by using the link on this home page.
Lake Chelan Rotary Club members are all volunteers. We joined Rotary because we want to participate in making our community and world a better place to live in and we have fun doing it. If you are a like-minded person, check us out. Attend one of our meetings as our guest. Membership is open to everyone regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.
