Support Lake Chelan Rotary Interact Trip to Guatemala

The Manson Interact Club is a group where young adults are learning how to embody the Rotary motto of “service over self.” As part of this service, Manson Interact has teamed up with Amigos de la Aldea, a grassroots organization based in Guatemala. Amigos de la Aldea helps support an all-girls school called Nuestra Señora de los Remedios which serves 130 girls who come from extreme poverty and many have been abandoned or orphaned. Our group is planning a service trip for June 2025 and we will be creating a library for the girls and taking the first steps in developing a bond between our two communities. We have been actively fundraising to allow 15 students to make this life-changing trip. We will need about $25,000 to pay for the student travel, library creation and a scholarship fund for a few students. A main fundraising event set for June 1, 2024. This will be an evening with dinner, live music from the Manson High School Jazz Band, a silent auction, a live auction, a paddle raise, and a dessert auction! We would love to see you there on June 1st- you can purchase tickets here! All donations will be managed and supervised by the Chelan Rotary Club and a tax receipt for your donation will be provided.
