Iltumaro Primary
Your generosity will allow the Lake Chelan Rotary club to provide a dormitory, refectory, kitchen, toilets and a 250.000 water tank for the students at Iltumaro Primary school.
The Iltumaro Primary school project is one of a number of projects we have supporting students in Kenya. We have 26 students boarding at the Nkoilale and Iltumaro Primary schools, 6 students in various high schools and 8 students in university.
In primary schools some of the students board at the school. our focus is on girls who have chosen an education rather than be married of at an early age and face the possibility of female circumcision.
The students at high school are all students who have successfully completed primary school and have qualified to go to high school. We have two students who started in primary school and have now successfully completed high school.
All of the students now in university did not have the funds needed to go to university after they graduated high school. The Brighter Futures Project was able to help with fees, accommodation, food and transportation.

As a contributor to Lake Chelan Rotary, Brighter Futures (Iltumaro) Project, we make sure 100% your donation goes directly to supporting the project. For students who are in Primary school it cost for $200 per year to have them board at school, for a high school student it costs about $800 per year for tuition and student upkeep, and a university student costs as little as $1500 per year for tuition, lodging, food and transportation.
